After drinking, Bucephalus stepped into the water to cool his burns down a bit.

"OMgoodness! What a story of survival! And here you two are today. Incredible. You must have been terribly frightened!" Sienna said. "Do your burns hurt terribly, Bucephulas?"

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

"Terribly spooked," added Bucephalus from the water. "I almost died because the flames came in so close and were so high. The smoke was horrible too, I inhaled so much I still cough up soot. Luckily, I was trained to jump over high poles with a two-leg on my back, though it was all still a challenge. I'm not even sure how many other horses made it, I couldn't see anyone through that wretched smoke."
