"Don't worry. She's got a lot of time ahead of her before she's ready to leave you," he offered assuredly. "Anyway--" he felt a yank on his tail and turned to see Ariel scampering away. "Why, you little--" with a whinny he gave chase, pretending to be furious as he nipped at her heels. "You'd better run!" he neighed loudly. "Or big bad Remus will throw you in the stream!"

Ariel shrieked with delight and raced off.

"Yes, I know. But she is getting so big!" Sienna exclaimed, laughing at her antics.

Apollo chased after him and Ariel. "Watch out Ariel!" He said laughing.

At last Remus caught up and grabbed her tail, pulling her gently backwards, towards the bubbling water. "Pull my tail, will you? Well, you need to learn a lesson!" He was about to toss her into the brook but he accidentally lost his footing. With neigh he tumbled backwards, splashing into the cool water. He shook the water out of his mane, some of it spattering upon Ariel. "Ah!" he pounded a hoof grumpily, emitting a splash as it landed in the stream. "She was too strong for me! What am I to do?"

Apollo laughed when Remus fell into the water. "Are you alright?" He asked.

"I'll find out," he chuckled. Slowly he raised himself from the stream bed. There were a few resounding cracks as his joints creaked from the effort of sitting down. "Guess I'm not as young as I used to be."

Apollo watched curiously as Remus sat down. He walked up next to him and sat down several feet away from him. Apollo smiled kindly at him and put his head down on his fore-legs.
