Gently Remus laid Bandit down on the soft, cool, leaf coated floor and stood back to make way for Layla. As Shadow and Sprite were busy, he trotted down to the stream, wet his muzzle copiously, and raced back to run the water over the foals' foreheads. They were hot to the touch.
