Belle quietly padded around, noting the horses' faces, and who seemed to be talking to who. She looked a little lonely, but felt happy to be a part of something.

What Rufus means is that Emery has taken him to so many places, he knows virtually every horse in every herd -- except Skyherd and some of the herds farther east.
