"Please nurse, then we need to go find her!" Layla yelled.

"Yes, mummy," whined Gemma reluctantly. She began to suckle, but the milk wouldn't take away her worry. It was very strange how horses could be next to her for one day, then gone the next, as if they had never existed. But Layla had promised never to disappear, and she would find Aspen. She had to.

"What filly?" Layla said, looking, but there was no horse in sight. "Gemma, settle down, she'll be fine!"

The colt (Still haven't come up with a name) nuzzled Gemma.

Gemma nodded, hiding between Layla's hocks and looking up at Lydia. Suddenly, she smelled it. With another breath, she realized what it was: Aspen's scent. She was near, but not in the immediate area.

Comforted by this fact, she nuzzled her brother and gave a small whinny.

Rufus stamped his hooves, swinging his lush mane to rid himself of the incessant flies.
"So, this, twin..." he mused. " 'ave you named 'im yet?"
