So - I did something stupid.
I was having issues with my Hovabator, set it up to run, then decided to buy two new incubators. Been running the new incubators for a couple months now. Working perfectly.
I got the brilliant (stupid) idea of putting my turner from my Hovabator (a manual one) into one of my new incubators.
I discovered I had forgotten to dump the water OUT of my old incubator. It was clean.. or so I thought..
The turner had mold on it. Cleaned it up really well, and put it into one of my new incubators.
My set was on the 9th.. Tuesday night I started noticing musty smell IN the incubator. (forced air incubator)
So.. as I have another incubator going, took out all the eggs and transfered them to the other incubator...
Now... I have beached everything... ran the incubator with the bleach solution (mix 50/50) in a container in it, to hopefully deal with anything in the fan area.. cleaned everything I can possibly think of in the incubator with a bleach solution..
Anything else I can do that can be done? Everything is drying currently. So mad at myself for not thinking.
Will I be stuck with this musty smell? And are my hatches all doomed with it? I am just hoping that was not 200+ dollars I just ruined.
