Mold in fresh pine shavings?

If you detect mold on bedding that's stored, you need to get rid of it. Mold spores are very prolific and will spread all over the place.

I bought it about a month ago and we store it in a building that doesn't leak. We do live in the hard south and the humidity is brutal. Do you think that could the issue?

Yes, it could. I'm in the NC Sandhills and I know that heat and humidity.
