Molly, the very grumpy chicken

Perpahs Molly could become another famous BYC chicken! She could work her way up to having fame like Derperella, Stan, Bird, etc.

Oh wow that's funny

Grumpy hen. One of my hens went broody recently, she's out of it now but when I went to touch her when she was trying to sit on eggs I heard what could've been the chicken growl. I love how chickens have individual personalities :)

PAchickegirl, your Golden Laced Wyandotte is so pretty! I love the look of the laced Wyandottes. Sk8nchick, I love Derp and Stan! I haven't seen Bird though, I will go look....

Recently Molly has not been impressed, the chickenmaid now has made this icky white stuff appear on the ground. Not only does she not get to go for supervised free-ranging, she has to stay in the coop most of the time with the rest of the chickens.

The icky stuff itself
It has been so cold that there are now icicles on the coop

Molly does get to stay under the toasty warm heatlamp with her grumpy friend Delilah. Delilah does not like humans. Delilah also is picked on by all the other hens exept Molly.

This is Molly's archenemy, Olivia the Columbian Wyandotte. Olivia and her sister have to be kept in a seprate pen due to the fact that the big hens try to kill them. When the big hens attack Olivia plays dead and has to picked up. When it comes to Molly however, Olivia loves to chase her and try to attack her. Molly trys to hide from her when she freeranges.

Molly also thinks she is weird because she eats the white stuff... Strange....

Today the chickenmaid was shocked to find this egg in the nesting box

It is the size of a small potato! No one knows who laid it exept the hen herself. Molly is glad she didn't have to lay that thing!

Wow! Impressive! I have been trying to show my grumpy girl who is boss.... ME! I went out last night to make sure the run was close and one of the BA was on the window shelf instead of the roost. Miss Punky would not let her in. I had to move her over and let her in.

Miss Punky sounds like quite a character! The nice thing about Molly is she is on the bottom of the pecking order pretty much, so not a lot of trouble with her and the other hens.
