Molt - Soft Shell Eggs

Well increase the calcium in their diet probably, like rice or egg shells, that might work, maybe of not then I prefer consulting to a vet (I am also a poultry vet thought not very experienced)
why would rice be a choice for calcium? I give pasta and they love it. For extra protein, I often give unsalted canned corn, (my girls do not like cracked...go figure). And someone who breeds gives cat food for the extra protein during the molt. (which I was not sure if Rebe the Rhode Island girl I am writing about) I didn't figure that was too good. So, since I cook for my dogs, and use a lot of thighs, I give the bones and or carcass to the girls. Don't gross out people, my girlfriend saw her hens eating a mouse....so I just figured the protein was good for them off the bone. And, they chew off the humeral heat for the marrow. So, question about the rice, and even with the sand around here, the calcium thing should not be a problem. I trade off eggs with my client for the store bought for fresh and give the girls the mashed whole egg. My one Rhode Island has been laying soft eggs. They get eaten which is even more concerning.
