Do you change their feed when they molt . I'm feeding mine laying mesh , cracked corn , and table scraps .
 
Evening farmerbud....I don't really change the feed so much as I add high protein treats like cat food which is 30%, to aid in producing feathers faster. Prolly a cup for 20 birds a day is fine.

I feed a lot more meat scraps when the molt comes around. I normally feed meat scraps to the dogs, but much to the dogs' dismay the chickens have been getting them lately. I also mix the feed up a bit- half layer formula and half grower formula. Recently I started giving BOSS as well in hopes of speeding the process along. It's been cold here for a couple weeks and I have 5 hens that are looking half-plucked. They have to be cold. I'm cold just looking at them!
