My 2 year old is stumbling around like she is drunk! She is heavily into her molt. Her food is bone dry. When I called her she didn’t come out of her coop. Once I coaxed her out, she was happily eating and drinking and seemed to perk up.

Is this molting related or something else?

I had this happen to a first full hard molting hen once. They are just very uncomfortable.
Offer her a sardine a day for a while as the feathers push out to support her.

what does the sardine offer her? one of my ladies, is in the midst of serious molt. she is kind of the runt of the three, and I worry the others are not letting her get enough food. what a cruel trick of nature, to have them molt in the winter time, when it's so cold.
I bought some protein focused food, hopefully she will get her share of it.
thank you in advance!
