molting hens...

do molting hens slow down in egg production? Mine are loosing feathers and have slowed from an average of 4 to 1 egg a day. I also added chicks to the coop 3 weeks ago, that was about the time they slowed their laying also. and only 2 seem to be molting out of 5.

Sometimes hens will slow down. I know, mine sure have.

From what I've read, some hens will slow down, and some will stop completely during a molt
