Molting, or something else?

Hey, right now, its late April here in Mi, and I dont know if my one year old Americana girl is molting or not. She is free range, and I have not put anything on her for ticks, which I know she does not have. but there are 2 bald spots, near her wings, and her skin is not red or irratatede, but her feathers are not fluffy, but more pin-like. This is my 1st chickens, so I dont know if I should be worried or not! Plz help! is this molting?

Check for mites and lice also, you can open the hens wings and blow, and if anything small there moves you'll need to dust them. But I guess right now some chickens could start molting.
