Molting questions

I know there is many threads like this, but this one will be different, i promise. I read that you don't want to put artificial light in the coop before the chickens molt, otherwise they might molt during the dead of winter. True?

I'd be interested in this question as well. I've never heard this, but I'm up in Vermont and the last thing I want is a molting chicken during winter.
