Molting season

I’ve noticed one of birds starting to molt. What is the best source of protein or a way to speed up the process and get them laying again

Buy chicken feed with a higher level of protein or a feed specifically ment for molting.

To keep things simple for laying hens, I switch from a 16% crude protein layer feed supplemented with calcium to a flock raiser with 18 to 20% crude protein and no supplemental calcium. Resumption of lay occurs following molt when photoperiod starts to increase (following winter solstice). Once most birds back into lay the layer feed is resumed. If layers not major performers, the the lower crude flock raiser is maintained and a large bowl of oyster shell is made available free-choice. Nothing is being accelerated, rather I am increasing odds new feathers coming in are good quality.
