Molting twice in one season?

I have an Easter Egger who is finishing her first molt. She turned a year old this fall. She is free range and healthy, (no bugs as far as I know), and she did something similar. She started her molt early and blew out her feathers fast. Then after about maybe two months or less she started laying and laid eggs for a week or two so I thought she was done. She looked well feathered out but still some feathers still looked worn. Then she stopped laying and started molting again, finishing off what she left the first time. I’m glad, her coat looks much more crisp!
