Molting

Do first year pullets molt. Mine began laying in August. When should I expect their first molt.

They will go into a fullblown molt next fall. Might lose a few "baby" feathers in the spring and summer.

Nope, wait until next fall. By then they will deffiantly be looking ready for some fresh feathers!

Probably not. Mine didn't really go through a full blown molt the first year. They lost a few feathers but nothing serious.
