molting?

I was looking at my buckeye rooster today and saw a large patch on his left side naked with no feathers, you can see where the feathers are but they have been clean plucked out.My other buff oprington hens back is looking strange too , near her tail feathers are feathers broken in half , plucked out , and full grown ones, is this molting ? how long do they molt for if it is.

anyone? are my chickens okay , i also notice bare spots on the breast area along with leg and under the wing
