Molting?

I have four red sex links hens that are about 8 1/2 months old and have been laying consistently for about 4 months. I have been seeing more loose feathers lying around the coop/run the past couple of days but none of the birds have any bald spots. I was wondering if they could be starting to molt. Would this be the right time of year for their first molt? if so, should I modify their diet in any way to help them out (they currently get organic layer pellets plus scraps)? Thanks for any advice.

They could be having a little mini-molt. Chickens are constantly losing and re-growing feathers. They are a little young to be full-blown molting. They won't do that until next year at about 18 months.
