Molting?

My little duck is now 10 weeks old!
And molting?
He has been loosing feathers like crazy!
(Not enough to where you can see skin- But enough for feathers to be every-where!!!)
Is he just molting or is something wrong?
Just courious.
Also-
When do you think he will be getting his drake feathers?
(I am 99.9% sure "He" is a boy!)

My runners molted at ten weeks. I had thought they were all set, with a beautiful set of adult feathers, and then POOF! feathers everywhere!!!!

They were still living in the house, and it took months to get them all cleaned up.

I have an little air purifier in my bed room and it is COVERED with duck feathers!

But this brings me back to-
When did YOUR ducks get their drake feathers?

I think you'll see the drake feather around 4-6 months. I have Muscovies so they don't get the drake feather. You maybe able to tell by quack, girls quack loud boys very low and raspy.

We are an all-girl group, here, so I have no experience with drake feathers.

I have nine runners and two buffs right now.

The runners reached maturity at about seven months, if that is any help.
