Well mom has decided that 8 chicks is enough and left the eggs. Is there anyway to salvage them without a incubator? I’ve got one of the chick warmers they go under. Maybe I can put the eggs under that? Or will it just cook them?

Candle them. At this point if they haven't hatched they are probably quitters. Eggs usually all hatch at about the same time under a broody bc she clucks to them and they know when to hatch. You could try the chick heating pad for sure, but candle them first.

I just had a hen stop sitting on her eggs. She had issues one day where she sat on the wrong nest probably most of the day and it was cold. She’s been off and on them since then but yesterday I decided she had no interest and didn’t want to come back and I would stop making her. She had cracked one from stepping on it. Yesterday was day 20, so far it appears only one has survived, the cracked one!!! I took them inside and used hot hands under many layers of a flannel sheet because I don’t have a heating pad. I damped the edges of the sheet with some drips of water and also put in a cup of water. I put them in a rubber tub with a lamp. I checked the temp before putting in the eggs, it’s around 99 but is hard to maintain! I’m just hoping the little egg survives and hatches soon! I’ve seen other ways you can temporarily make an “incubator” that might work to hatch them if they are still alive!
