Can someone please help me correctly identify these chickens?
My worst fear right now is marking my son's silkie as the wrong gender!

I have no clue what the breed of this bantam is:

I believe this is a dutch bantam:

Any clues on if this silkie is a rooster or hen? It's comb looks so much different than the other 4 we have.....is it crossbred?

Thank you for your help - this is our family's first year in 4-H but have sold eggs for about 4 years with Rhode Island Reds

They are all about 7 months old....no eggs yet. That is the best side shot of that silkie I could get.....the rest of the 16 pictures I took were just white blurs!!! LOL
Please correct me if I identified that Dutch Bantam wrong....I'm totally new at this and finding pictures to compare on the internet is about impossible.

the Dutch bantam pictured is NOT a Dutch Bantam, they supposed to have round WHITE earlobes. It looks like an OE.

The first pic looks like a birchen color. Not sure of breed but maybe an oversized OE.

The white Silky looksl ike a roo from his comb color and the size of it.

Good luck on your shows!

Yes. However, I've only ever known of one judge who noticed them. And that same judge made some huge errors--DQing all buff silkies becuase they all had at least a bit of black in the feathering--mind you now, these were all very good quality birds, and none had more than traces of black in the wings/tails. Also giving hte Best AOV award to a recognised variety.
