I have a momma silkie who has babies who are about 3 days old. She has mites that need to be taken care of. They have built up under her muff and I am concerned. I usually use a shaker type powder. I don't even recall what the ingredients are off the top of my head. What can I use that won't hurt the new babies? Should I just wait until they are older?
Any advice would be wonderful.
Thank you

I use an organic poultry dust called Diatect V google it as I cant remember where i get it but its all natural and totally safe, just wear a mask cause the DE dust is not good to breath in. Pick up bird and dust her paying special attention to her rump area. The chicks should be fine if she is well dusted.

Good Luck!

oh and some ACV in the water wont hurt either

Food grade DE is safe for both and you can apply directly, as well as to their nest where they sleep.
