Momma hen did it again.

The babies are a week old now and are thriving. Momma is doing a wonderful job with them like last time. We have came to a understanding, as long as I do not attempt to touch the babies she will allow me to place her in and out of the crate several times a day without fuss so she can stretch her legs and do her business. But if she even thinks i'm going to touch them all bets are off and she's ready to kill me. She may be little but she is mighty...and a tad bit evil. A mean rooster would have nothing on her lol. The other day she even put one of the horses in his place when all he wanted to do was sniff her. My poor Dirt got his nose pecked. I took a few pictures yesterday when i went out to feed them lunch.

The downside to having momma's crate between the horses stalls, you cant do anything with the chickens without that feeling that you are being stared at. Don't ignore it because you are. Both boy's will be staring a hole in you waiting for you to pay attention to them and give them treat's or in my young boy Dirt's case my coffee. Look at their faces, resistance is futile and I have 2 very spoiled horses as well. Dirt has his own coffee cup. Louis is the red one and my old man.
