Momma hen tucked eggs under her??

My satin hen hatched chicks on the 12th, so they’re now almost 2 weeks old and she's still raising them. Today out of curiosity I gave momma hen a store bought egg and she tucked it under her (?!). Thinking it might have been a fluke, I gave her two more and she did the same... Is this normal...?

I think normal. She is still raising her baby’s so she still has all the mama hen hormones

ooh, that makes sense. I left them there to see what she would do with them tomorrow.

I'm planning on incubating more eggs next week, so I was thinking if she's going to go re-broody again, I would just give some of them for her to sit on
