Monitoring Humidity

I've just purchased this (attached image), and it did have good reviews.

I have also bought a humidity meter, but my question is: how does one actually best increase or decrease humidity with this type of incubator? Just add more or less water to the bottom? Anyone else had some genius solutions to this problem?

When I used to have incubators like that I would pit very little water in it at first and just slowly added water to it if it needed to be added but tbh if u want to start hatching out lots of eggs of different types like duck hen geese or whatever ur nearly best to go for the brinsea make but that's just my opinion

I bought one like that this spring and it worked pretty good. I just added the 100ml of water every day or two and my hatches were great. If you want to raise the humidity you could add enough water to cover the whole bottom and add some paper towel in the water. Make sure you have an accurate thermometer for temperature as the digital reader probably won’t be correct.

Just another tip on that incubator. When you add water don’t take the lid right off. Just lift one side enough to dump some water in and make sure the pin is back in the slot if your using the auto turner. If your not using the auto turner then you don’t have much choice to take off the lid.
