I had two they are big husband said they are the size of a small turkey I said NAH............................... but in carrying them to the freezer and then being in the grocery store afterthat YUP they are about the size if a small turkey. We smooked the hen very good taste better then the store bought but I thing if you grow it yourself it ALWAYS taste better you don't do what the big companies do and I think this is why it has a better taste.

Wow, that's an incredible amount of meat! And it sounds like he had a good life with a great diet.

I tend to mince them when they get that huge. They make absolutely fabulous chicken patties. We love ginger here, so we put heaps of fresh grated ginger and spring onions along with tamari and a pinch of sugar, for an Asian feel.

I'm sure he made a great roast though.
