Looking to touch base with other people keeping birds in the Montana Hi-Line area. I'm new to chicken keeping and am loving every minute, but I would like some advice on winter coop keeping in Montana.
I am also looking for some guinea fowl.

Did you find guineas ? Fleet in GF was to get them in either May 15 or June 15 so check there.

Winter is a challenge. Coop needs to be dry and draft free. Most bantams don't do well in this extreme cold climate.Need larger, chickens that can maintain body temperature. Guineas are great but not real intelligent when it comes to cold. Lost mine when they got out of barn when it was-30 below and they flew to the top of the barn . Then refused to come down until they froze.
