Hi guys! Newbie from Butte here... I was thinking of starting with 5 or 6 australorps, for the kids factor and for the eggs. Does anyone local or driving distance have any chicks for sale by chance?

I'm in Billings, but I've only got Marans, Legbars, and various heritage turkey. Apparently there is a shortage of birds in stores right now? I have a small NPIP hatchery.

Thanks for responding. I went to Murdochs and they said they were not going to have any chicks this year; all orders have been canceled

Are the breeds you have good with toddlers? Ok for eggs? I’ll research them. Billings is a good hike, if I can’t find any closer I’ll definitely be in touch with you.
