Hey, I might be Interested in a pure ameraucana, also what else you got? I really want Bard rock, rode island reds, and sex links for sure!

This hatch I've got comming up will be EEs (blue, green, and olive layers), pure Wheaton/Blue Wheaton Ameraucana, Blue,Black,Lav Orps, and some Maran mixes. I might have some black sex links out of my Cuckoo Marans. I don't know how to sex baby chicks, so anything I sell would be straight run, other than the black sex links, I know any with a white spot on the head are boys.
I just picked up 3 new egg customers from a Craigs List ad, yahoo, I only get $2.00 a dozen, but it all helps on buying feed, and when I was at TSC today I talked to a guy that wants to buy some of my chicks, Yea.
We got 18" of snow on Wed and Thurs, and now the forcast is 40 and rain for tomorrow. If that happens it is going to be a total mess here. The girls have been so funny with this snow, they all run to the pop door when I open it, look out, then turn arround and give me a dirty look like its my falt it snowed, and there isn't more than a dusting under the covered part of the run and they still won't go out.

I'm so glad you found some buyers! I know it's hard when your in the country. I'm looking for golden sex links, im just hoping I can find these birds when February rolls around. Comets stars what ever there called lay big eggs i gather lol, it would be nice to see something other then the small ones I constantly get.
My chickens have a completely dry run, we trapped it all off and even the sides are trapped , but when I open the door to the pen they run for the snow lol they do not mind it at all, in fact I keep them in the pen because I worry there feet will get to cold. Even the roost is carpeted lol.

Well, second coop in the making. I had the folks over to take a look, there also looking to fix me a new pen to house both coops . Im so excited, there so sweet, and im just sure my new pen will be awesome. They are wiring it for heat and lights, and putting the heat lamp up in a box with wiring to cover it so the chickens can not break it. A large door to clean the coop, and the whole coop raised off the ground so it will be easy to clean and easy for the birds to get under. I'm thrilled! Now my new chicks will also have there very own home and not have to share with the older girls. Though they will all be mixed together at some point to free range. I'm all giggly inside!

Congrats on the new coop, I love mine, but now I need a few more breeding pens, and would love to do the raised ones for that. I guess thats my next project.

Hi everyone.
I'm planning a trip to Missoula on February 21st with a batch of chicks for sale. These will be cross breed chicks, $1.50/chick, straight run. I have roughly 40 left unclaimed for this trip. My flock is mainly Ameraucana, Marans, Rhode Island Reds, and true Araucanas (rumples and tufted, very, very rare). There are a few other breeds represented in my flock who may contribute to the genes in these chicks: a few stunning Wyandottes, a couple of goofy Turkens, two leg horns and a Barnevelder rooster (amazing fellow!).
The two weeks following this February date I will have more cross breed chicks available, but I do not plan to go to Missoula with them, those batches will need to be picked up here in Hamilton.
Anyhow, if you have questions or are interested in some of these little ones, get in touch with me. Also, my website has more info on the pure breeds we are breeding and our schedule for chicks.
Here's to chick season !!!!!

Wow, good luck on selling your chicks, do you take them to a feed store? Someone went crazy here, and there are over 100 eggs in the bators, I don't know who could have done that, it must have been the dog. Everything that happens here is the dogs fault.

HA! The dogs huh? If you say so......

I've been watching your posts but not responding in fear that I would end up trying to buy some birds from you. I have GOT to stick to what I have!!!! It's just so easy to argue the benefits of bring in more genetic options - you know how it goes..... Which leads me to ask...... I was wondering if you happened to have any pure bred Wheat, Blue Wheaten, or Splash Wheaten Ameraucana roosters for sale? I have some wonderful Wheaten and Blue wheaten Ameraucana hens, but have had no luck finding a quality rooster for them. ???

Good luck with your hatch!!!!!!! My first bunch of eggs are going in tonight and I just can't wait for the babies!!!! It's just so fun.

What incubator do you have? I have a sportsman 1502 and am really impressed with it. I've been limping along without a hatcher but really hope to be able to buy one the end of this hatching season, but want to find out about other brands out there.

Can't wait for the chick photos from your "dog's" clutch!
