Montana

My turkeys are first out, breaking trail, then the Marans and the lone Orpington. My cream legbars don't like to go into the snow at all. They require a lot of bribing.

New to montana. Billings more specifically. Sold the farm to move here. Guess we're allowed 6 hens. Just ordered a coop and am looking for some local breeders. Are there any here in the area?

I'm in Lockwood, but I haven't hatched quite yet, first batch next week. I'm a hobby breeder, birchen Marans and cream legbars and heritage turkey ( burbon red and burbon×royal palm). Been breeding this group of chickens for 4 years, turkeys for 2.

I have a couple bators but I'm not sure I really want to fire them up in town. I could get some hatchery birds but my boys will be starting 4h next year and I'm hoping for some show birds. My mission seems bleak around here lol

My daughter will be showing my Marans and if the legbars shape up, those too. She just started 4h this year! I started my flock from shipped eggs, that's just the way around these parts.

here's one of my birchen Marans hens. Now, if only they would start laying for me again!

I end up on Facebook once a month for cream legbar club updates, but that's about it. I get sucked in way too easily! This format I find easier, and no politics allowed here, thank goodness. I don't have the chat app for Facebook either... I'm too boring!
