Well they're a 4H family so they might have joined when their kids got into 4H.

It's a very fun experinece. I was really sad when I aged out and couldn't show my birds anymore

I was really interested in 4H last year but my mother burst my bubble and said that you have to either sell the animal or kill it a turn it in for processing... but I had asked if I could take it home. She said only with horses and maybe chickens...
