No it is like 7 hrs away. My son goes to college there but works when not in school so hasn't been home in 7 months.
There are a few different people up there that have them I guess. Thanks anyway.

Hello Montana!

Just a reminder that there are still lots of towns and cities right here in Montana up for grabs in the BYC Chicken L.O.R.E. Project!

This is a massive undertaking, and everyone is encouraged to participate! Your knowledge of Chicken L.O.R.E. will earn you GFM Scratch, which are good towards new GFM Memberships, Membership extensions, or Membership gifts.

Remember - you don't have to select a city in Montana - cruise the selection list and choose any city still available!

Get started now! Click on the Chicken L.O.R.E. link above for all the details, and remember your Project Managers are here to help in any way we can.

Good Luck, and Thanx for Joining In!

Well...I'm going to school in Helena the week of May 17th . I could put my silkies in together to fertilize some eggs if you want to meet me there . You'd have to incubate....but I'd give them to ya' for $5.00 . Might only be 6 or more eggs though . Let me know soon if you do want them .

Hiya's!! New to this site and my first post.

Been in Montana for almost three years. Up from Colorado. Have a dozen or so chickens of various varieties. We live in Helena. We also just bought three Amricana's. Can't wiat to see what color eggs we'll be getting. Also. I have a Silkie Rooster. He's about 4 years or so. Lost the female this last winter. I'm not sure what happened. I went into the coop and she was lying on the floor trying to breathe She was gone by the end of the day. Sad when you have one for so long then gone. Also sad the the ground ws froze solid and couldn't bury here. We have a a couple burried out by our dog. Rocks with thier names on them. Maybe she fell off the the perch while sleeping. I know my parrot Ponch does that once in a while. Man what a noise maker he is when that happens. So the Rooster silkie's name is Little Richard. because he's Black feathered and his feathers look like a big collar around his neck. Has that "fro" look on top. Alright Alright I'm not a racist! Ponch the parrot is a lavander crested amazon from the amazon but he's got a hispanic name. Just because my female Turken is named Gobblette doesn't mean I'm picking on dinnerware glasses. So anyway. Just saying hi and I wanted to ask a question; I've had trouble trying to eball an egg to see if it's fertilized. The lights I sue I don't think are bright enough. tried using them through cardboard and that doesn't help. Any ideas???

Thanks much. Dan in Helena.
