I know your frustration trying to find the color variety of your choice!!! I don't mind working hard for something, but I was getting very upset buying hatching eggs for a certain color variety and having chicks hatch out NOT the variety that I had payed for.

Anyhow..... Are you going to make it to the poultry show in Hamilton the first week of May? I know that a very serious Marans breeder will be there showing his incredible birds again this year. I don't think that he has anything to sell this show (could be wrong though) but he sure may be able to help you make a connection with a breeder of Golden Cuckoos. If you want his info, PM and I'll give it to you.
Last year the show was incredible! There were breeders from Washington, Idaho, across Montana showing their top-notch birds. I'll post the dates of this year's show as soon as I can confirm them.

I picked up a box of 18 peeps this morning. 6 Doms and 12 GL Wyandottes.

They are all snug in the brooder eating drinking and pooping away (at least we know the plumbing works).

Kids and dogs are facinated.

Hope this is OK to post here, but my wife and I are currently hatching Black Copper Marans between Great Falls and Billings, and we were wondering if there is any local interest in baby chicks or started pullets. Send us a message, or reply back, and we will get in touch with you. These are quality birds with show potential coming from the Wade Jean, Bev Davis, and Channing Grisham lines. We really hope to get this breed established and accepted in the state of Montana.

Got a Corgis Gone Wild Picnic on June 11th this year, so I will be going through there around that time.
