I am trying to get a Montgomery Ward incubator going for my son and daughter in law. The fan was out of the unit and needed lubrication, which I supplied today, so it's working nicely now. It wasn't before. However, when going to install the fan, obviously the two wires were to be attached to two of the four posts in the junction box. Which two am I to use? I figured out which two would have 120 v and attached the fan there, so now, it's running all the time as long as it's plugged in, but I'm not sure that's the way it's supposed to be.

If you have a wiring diagram OR can check inside your similar model Wards junction box could you describe to me which of the posts should have the fan wires attached to them. A picture would be wonderful too.

On a secondary note. The indicator bulb was broken. Any idea the proper wattage to use for that bulb, or does it matter. Should I just use one from a standard night light?

If anyone has access to an owner's manual for this model, that would be wonderful. Thanks!!

Normal operation for cabinet incubators is for the fan to be running continuously when the unit is plugged in. Make sure that you have not connected the fan to the thermostat wires. If you do that, the fan will stop when the thermostat cuts out to adjust the temperature.

The only information that I could find is that Leahy made the incubators and put a Montgomery Ward name tag on them.
