month old chick wirh backwards leg

It was helped out of its shell and its leg seemed deformed, i tried binging its feet together but it seeemed to be in pain so i took it off . any ideas..?

It has full fuction of its toes and legs, im thinking this will become my indoor pet. But I just want to help it. Even if i have to carry it around. Just wondering if anyone has advice besides slaughtering it. I seems sensless to me to kill something because its not the same as the others.

i was told that this condition is the result of hatching without enough moisture and my experience is that it wont get better
