Rest in Peace 1963-2021
OMG I have to show this in pictures...words just do not do it justice.
So, the first one saddled was my sweet little Salmon Faverolle who had the over grown beak as a teenager.
Faith sat perfectly still while I put the saddle on her and then froze when I let go of her.
When she started to move she kinda freaked out and went to daddy for help...hopped up on his foot and froze again looking totally pathetic...and hoping daddy would fix it.
So, I scooped her up and took her out to the grass to let her take time to get used to it..she walked a few feet in it and then turned to tell me what she thought about it...it was not pretty.
Then she sort of ran sort of waddled sort of skipped over to DD for some sympathy and hopeful aid in removing the offending clothing...
She is down at the coop now and we played all heck for 30 minutes trying to wrangle someone else...they are having none of it...they saw her come back and us trying to get them and they all headed under the coop. So, I will get them tonight. Despite what she thinks...I think she looks smashing in her sunflowers.
Now did I put it on correctly? the straps cross down under her crop and breast bone, come up under the wing and snap. If this is not correct let me know and tell me what I am doing wrong. It looks right but what do you think? I could move the straps further down and closer to her legs possibly but her crop is certainly free.
Oh and thanks again...I probably end up buying more just to cover all 29 of my girls. That way no one is different.
