So..

My Gold Comet is SUPER broody. My question is, would it be possible for her to go too long without eating and drinking in her desperation to sit on eggs? We take the eggs away everyday, but have to physically remove her from the nest to get her to leave it. Should we be doing that, or just let her sit.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Good question. Seems to be a lot of different thoughts on that.
I don't remember anyone ever posting that a hen actually sat on a nest and starved itself...
do they ever do that?

I know it sounds silly....but she is just SO single minded about it! I'm worried about her...It upsets her to get moved from the nest, but at least she eats and drinks a bit when I do before she goes back at it.
