Ive got a rooster that I am sort of fond of. He is pretty cool with me, normally never getting aggressive. However, my daughters, who sometimes help out, he goes after every time. Any help as to why this is? Anything we can do about it?

There are several threads on behavior modification in aggressive roosters. If your daughters are young/small, the rooster should be either penned up or rehomed. The possibility of serious injury is real and not worth the risk.

Outside of getting rid of the rooster, I would set up a barrier so your daughters can still help from outside the barrier and not get attacked. This could be food and water access from outside the coop, for example.

If this is not feasible or there is risk of him breaking out and attacking your daughter anyway, I would absolutely get rid of the rooster. It's a hard decision to make, but sometimes a firm "my family over the chickens" decision needs to be made.
