Akio exited his den and took a glance around camp, seeing that it had gotten dark quick, he figured everyone must be asleep except for the guards and those who preferred to sleep during the day.

Kaori retreated back to her den after investigating the random noise and figuring it must’ve been made by a smaller animal. She feasted on her plump grouse then slowly drifted off to sleep.
