She nodded, accepting his lack of details. "Something strange happened at the Forest Pack border besides for me running into Star," She began, "One of their wolves attacked me. If their Omega hadn't shown up, I'm pretty sure I might've killed her. Forest Pack is usually so calm..."
“Which wolf?” he asked, ignoring the part about Star.
She tipped her head, trying to remember. "I think their Omega said her name before she tackled her... I think it was Fire or Flame or something like that."
“Hm. Maybe not all wolves fit their pack’s description,” he said with a snort, thinking of Star.
She smirked. "Yeah, maybe. So what's going on between you and Star? Don't tell me it's nothing. I can smell her scent on you, and it's fresh."
“What goes on between me and Star isn’t your problem,” he said coldly.
"It may not be my problem, but it is the Packs problem. We both know they don't take kindly to those who leave the Pack. I'm worried for your family, Smoke."
“Why do you even care?” he shot back. “It’s not like it’d affect you if I got thrown out. You don’t have a traitor for a sister!”
She stood and bared her teeth. "I have no family. I know what it's like to be unwanted. Unloved. You still have yours. Don't just let them go like you're doing right now." She spat coldly, then turned and stormed out of the camp. In the distance she could hear a storm approaching, but she didn't care
He snarled and turned away, ignoring the sounds of thunder in the distance. Luna could get hit by lightning... Why do I even care, anyway? Let her do what she wants. He glanced uneasily at the sky again as lightning flashed across the sky. Ugh. Alright, I’m going. He shook out the newly fallen water droplets from his pelt and trotted off into the woods.
