Star sighed. “Ash, you heard your father. I know you want to meet them, but right now, we can’t. We’re in different packs. That’s just how it is.”

"It's about time for me to make my patrol." He woofed to Star, getting up. "I'll be back soon." With that, he walked out of the den and began patrolling the Dark Pack border. He saw Luna, so he watched her warily as he passed.
"Ice, isn't it?" Luna asked, drawing him into conversation.
"Yeah. How do you know?"
"Star's running off has become popular gossip in Dark Pack. I was told she chose a pure white wolf over her Pack, and not many wolves fit that description around here." She woofed breezily.
"Right... So what exactly do you want?"
"Forgive me, I don't know where my manners are. My name is Luna. I'm Smoke's mate and I just wanted to know if I could meet my nieces..."
"I don't think that's very smart. They're still very young and I don't think they should leave camp yet."
"I understand. Maybe when they're older?"
"Perhaps."
"Okay. Will you at least ask Star?"
"Sure, I don't see any harm in that."
"Great, thanks!"
"Yeah." He continued his patrol until he had finished, then when he returned, he told Star everything that happened. "So, what do you think we should do?"

She hesitated. “I want them to meet...” She was a little hesitant, afraid of what would happen if she got caught. It’s fine. They’re just meeting once. It’s not like we’re seeing each other regularly. “I think we should do it when they’re older,” Star said at last.

While Star and ice where engaged in conversation Ash slipped out of camp, she was on the shyer side but whenever it’s came to stealth she was a master. She crept through the trees keeping her body low to the ground. If there wasn’t anything she was going to do it was meet her mother’s family, starting with the Dark pack.

Luna was still by the border, and noticed a pup approaching. Curious, she watched and didn't say anything until the pup was directly in front of her. "Hello, little pup." She woofed gently, trying not to scare her. "What are you doing here?"

She took a sharp breath in. "Yes, I know both. I'm not Wild, but I am your Aunt. I'm Smokes mate. Would you like me to go get Smoke? He's been wanting to meet you."
