Moral Conundrum

If I gave someone an old bag 'o barbies, and one turned out to be worth something, I don't think I'd want to know, because then I'd just kick myself for not checking first. If my SIL gave me a bag 'o barbies, and I suspected one was worth some $$, I'd probably hang onto it, because in 10 years, I could put any money I made off it into something for my kids, college, car, something... as long as the recipient of the value was the recipient of the gift.

Don't do anything. The dolls are a gift to your kids. They can do with them as they please.
Let her know that the kids really appreciate the dolls and they are thankful.

If it were my sister, i'd say:
I looked up a few of the barbies that you gave the girls, and a few seem to be worth a little money. Do you want those back?

I kinda agree with redhen... EXCEPT... I hate my sister... so her loss... (hehehe i know

back to my corner)

no obligation
she gave them for the kids to do what they want....if they want to save them thinking value might go up, sure why not?

your sister knows what she gave them...don't fret at all over it.
