I did not latch the run today.
Not sure what happened, I generally wiggle the door, to make sure (Hawk and Doggies, you know)

And I glance into the back yard, my 5 ladies were happily roaming the grounds.
Not that I don't understand it, their run has been stripped bare by them.
Just the matter of the OH SHHHHHHHH moment I had.
Again, I am glad the girls expect their mealworms at bed time. They were quickly corraled.
I really need to build that additional run for them. Give them something to do during the day.

And I still have 5 birds, too.
(I got lucky there)

Consider a light movable/carriable tractor. This way , you can give them fresh areas to forage on. Afternoon,, or evening comes,,, and corral them back to run.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:

I am going to build a movable run that I can position. I think the coop is now in the best position, considering the summer temps I am expecting.
We shall see.
