I think it is the shipping that does them in. When my eggs go from the barn to the bator so far they develop and hatch like clockwork.

I am very excited to see what happens. I know very little about incubating and hatching eggs as I have never done it myself. BUT I love that you are all trying to create these "master flocks" of hot Blue Orps. I can just see you guys in about 5 years: "Oh yeah, back in 2008 we had some shipping issues. We got it all worked out. Now there are 1000's of Blue Orpingtons running around because of us."

Sorry MP I hoped more would grow for you. Shipping really does a number on them. I cant wait to hear the hatch report. The smaller brown eggs did they develop for you? They are out of my Catalpa girls and they sure make cute chicks with the splash!

I have 2 of those small ones and I am still counting them as active right now. I can't see much in them. They are dark and hard to candle.
