Well, you know we are expecting progression reports on your breeding pens along with pics. I think this is very encouraging when everyone interested in Orps shows their progress with pics. Congrats on your hatch.

Thank everybody! I have 2 big pips almost starting toward zips this morning. It is day 21 so I expect in a few hours or by the end of the day for the other 2 to be out and fluffy.

I have been sorting and re-organizing trying to get my house in order.

I have a blue and a black cockeral that no one seems to want. I am going to post them on Craig's list today and if they don't go to a new home they will be put in my freezer.

The little pullet from your eggs from your mottled pen is looking really nice. I have an eye on her. She will eventually go in a pen with a black orp roo. I really need to find me a black roo that isn't from the BBS lines.

TOH I put those 2 blue x brahamas in my main laying house. I had them in a XL wire crate. That lasted 10 min. I opened the door to put in new waterer and they came flying out before I even knew what happened. One of my BR's flared up at the pretty dark one and she stood her ground and wouldn't be bullied. I couldn't catch them again so I gave up. They are holding their own in there so far.

I decided to candle last night on my BB Orps. Out of 9 eggs on day 17, 4 are clear or stopped developing a while ago and 5 block the light so I can only see the air sack.

1 blue Korfus Klucker chicks hatched sometime between 2:30am and 6 am this morning

There were no pips at all at 2:30 - woot!
