More Chick Babies!!

I now have 10 new babies. There are still 5 eggs in the nest. One was dead in the nest this morning. I went down first thing this morning and moved Mom, babies and eggs to a small dog crate inside a closed in area in one corner of the chicken house. (It's 24' x 12')

I now have 4 banty chicks in a separate area, with their Mom, a quail banty hen. And the above mentioned RIR Mom and her brood.

And I don't know nothin' bout birthin no babies, Miz Scarlett.

Well Prissy, sounds like you're doing just fine. I'm sure the mama will do what's necessary. Just make sure food and water are close by and easily accessable...
