i have an 8' wide, 5' tall, and 16' long coop that originally had a 10' long run...
we have kept 1 roo over 8 hens in this space (2 bantams; 7 LF)
we recently added 4 more LF (still pullets at this point)
13 chickens total in that capacity...
we just added a 12' long run to our existing 10' run... the run also goes underneatht the coop (the coop is on stilts)
how many more chickens do you think we can get comfortably? (i know that the "rule" is 4 sf, but i think that is a tad small for them)
also, our chickens free range all over the yard all day on weekends and from around 4:30 to sunset on weekdays...
