More Eggs Than Ducks

Yep, and almost did it again today! When my girls are laying eggs I have a basket for collecting but since I am getting one or two eggs a day I’ll stick it in my pocket, well today I started to put it in my pocket and decided I best take it inside. Saved one lol.

I currently have 3 buildings with hens laying in them. It usually happens when I pick up one from one building and then move on to other tasks and stoop or bend for some reason - forgetting what's in my pocket.

I don't have many but I expect to be getting lots of eggs by the end of the month.
I don't think I could squeeze an egg into a jean pocket. You must be extremely lithe or have parrotlet size eggs.

One of my Indian Runners laid today and I stuck it in my coat pocket while I cleaned their coop and forgot about it and busted it, nice mess in my pocket!:sick
So far i have been lucky. When i pick up the eggs, i shamefully hide them in my pockets so that my girls don't realize that i am the egg thief! Almost slipped and fell once on my way back to the house, almost!

OEGB eggs 2. Really are you getting new layers? Mine will probably start picking back up sometime in Feb. hopefully.
By the end of the month, days will be almost an hour longer here than at winter solstice.
I have 9 hens 2-6 years old that have been malingerers for a while and one or two of them has just started.
Ten 18 month old birds that have also been on vacation and are starting to kick in. A bunch of 5+ month old birds in another building.
