Just wondering if there is anything I can try to get more eggs this time of year
Yes, a quality egg layer ration and the addition of a light. Has to be a light on the "warm" end of the light spectrum. Doesn't have to be a large light, a 20 or 40 watt bulb would do. Set it to come on early in the morning in the coop. Start with about a half hour of extra light each morning and keep adding a half hour each week until the hens are being exposed to at least 14 to 16 hours of daylight a day. This total includes natural sunlight. So you may only need to add four or five hours of artificial light to them.
